The knowledge, skills and abilities Vianair Consulting offers represents decades of Air Traffic Control, Airspace and Flight Procedure Design, Airport Operations and Aircraft Noise Mitigation experience with a focus on serving communities, which is uncommon in the field.  Vianair Consulting brings an abundance of experience in noise abatement and mitigation, airspace redesign, Performance Based Navigation, Terminal Procedures, Flight Validation, Terrain and Obstruction Evaluation, Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), Traffic Flow Management, Safety Risk Management, stakeholder engagement, community advocacy and program management.  All with an outstanding record of success while being fiscally responsible and environmentally conscious.

Vianair Consulting is a community-focused company capable of providing solutions to airport noise issues through community and industry engagement and providing end-to-end support from baseline analysis to strategy development to implementation and post-implementation monitoring.  We address airport noise issues by engaging with industry and communities to find compatible solutions that are meaningful, measurable, and sustainable.

Vianair Consulting provides aircraft noise mitigation services that cross all airport markets to support clients throughout the project and program lifecycle. The aviation industry is undergoing a significant evolution. Vianair Consulting employs professionals that have been integral in shaping the path of aviation over the last decade and more. Our people are a part of the fabric of the aviation industry, serving clients with small needs to the world’s largest airports both nationally and internationally.

Through our experience working within the FAA’s National Airspace System, and employing systematic approaches to creating and capturing proven, repeatable processes, methodologies, and tools, Vianair Consulting is able to deliver customized services and solutions in less time than would be required to develop them independently.  Below are a few of our capabilities.

Airport Noise Mitigation

Vianair Consulting is an industry leader in advocating for communities with airports and the FAA concerning aircraft noise mitigation.  Utilizing the NowGEN®suite of services, we guide our clients through community engagement, industry engagement, and other noise abatement and mitigation activities designed to improve the quality of life for communities affected by aircraft noise.

FAA Coordination & Representation
One of the most critical pieces of any noise mitigation project is effective coordination with the FAA. The best intentions, procedures, and methods can be written and pursued, but without proper coordination with the FAA, these procedures stand a significant possibility of not being implemented with community interests included in the process.  Vianair Consulting knows all appropriate FAA organizations and individuals with which to communicate to enable actual implementation of the noise mitigation projects in which we are involved. Many of our personnel have played integral roles in the development of FAA national policy over the past 20 years.

Design Analysis & Implementation Monitoring
Because of our many yeas of experience in Flight Procedure Design and Implementation, we have the knowledge, skills and abilities to analyze proposed procedures, such as those designed within a FAA Metroplex Project, to determine the impact of those designs upon surrounding communities.  We determine potential noise impacts upon communities by analyzing such elements as:

  • Terminal Flight Procedures
  • Arrival & Departure Procedures
  • Enroute Connectivity
  • Obstacle Analysis
  • Safety Risk Management
  • Community Outreach
  • Noise Modeling, Analysis and Mitigation
  • and much more

All this is accomplished to ensure that Vianair Consulting can provide the best advocacy for our clients to ensure that they are well represented in the final procedure design, that communities have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, and that the final design is optimized to provide a win-win solution for communities and the industry as a whole.

Advocacy and Engagement

Vianair Consulting provides communities and local governments with the best avenues and advice to engage effectively with:

  • FAA Headquarters
  • FAA Regional Service Areas
  • Local FAA Officials (Air Traffic Control and Flight Standards District Offices – FSDOs)
  • FAA Environmental/Noise Offices
  • FAA Flight Standards
  • Local Airport Officials
  • Other Communities & Noise Organizations
  • and many more
